Let&#8217;s not forget, though, that physical clouds are equally impressive as natural fractals. Lamentably, our ground-level view of clouds feels restricted to 2D appreciation. We can only see one side as we peer up. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/jeromecharron\/6464899287\/\" target=\"_blank\">dark side of the clouds<\/a> eludes us, shrouded behind a scrim. We need to be cloud-level in order to glimpse those water droplet and ice crystal forms with 3D glasses. If we could settle into just the right position and perspective, then the 3D panorama of cloud fractalness might align and blossom out.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Fortunately, German photographer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nehmzow.de\/nehmzow\/\" target=\"_blank\">R&uuml;diger Nehmzow<\/a> figured out a way for all of us to see more eye to eye with clouds. According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mymodernmet.com\/profiles\/blogs\/capturing-clouds-at-20-000-feet-in-the-air\" target=\"_blank\">My Modern Met<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\">This must be what heaven looks like. Photojournalist R&uuml;diger Nehmzow took to the skies in his <em>Cloud Collection<\/em> series to photograph some beautiful cloud formations. After being strapped in, the committed photographer, equipped with two cameras and an oxygen mask, went 6,000 meters (approximately 4 miles) high in an airplane with the doors wide open to snap his shots.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\">The result? Nehmzow&#8217;s cloud shots reveal astonishing dimensions in fully realized fractalscapes.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Is <a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/--SRRfj7w3gc\/Td7VtK29XgI\/AAAAAAAAPOI\/JgScvKoGccA\/s1600\/100_2020.JPG\" target=\"_blank\">a front moving in<\/a>? <\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">I decided to collide clouds myself by captioning these photographs of physical clouds with digital snips of text found in search strings of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&#038;ion=1&#038;ie=UTF-8#hl=en&#038;tbo=d&#038;sclient=psy-ab&#038;q=%22fractal+clouds%22&#038;oq=%22fractal+clouds%22&#038;gs_l=serp.12...0.0.0.16838377.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0..0.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.E4Sg9gUhDBY&#038;pbx=1&#038;bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&#038;fp=7bb9b384f427c1da&#038;bpcl=38093640&#038;ion=1&#038;biw=1920&#038;bih=895\" target=\"_blank\">a Google search<\/a> of &quot;fractal clouds.&quot; The original source, in every instance, is linked to the specific search phrase.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Is a storm <a href=\"http:\/\/images.nationalgeographic.com\/wpf\/media-live\/photos\/000\/599\/overrides\/space216-sun-flare_59946_600x450.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">flaring up<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Buckle in. Enjoy the flight.
